Hello, my name is Jonathan Stevenson and I want to ask you something? Have you ever gotten asked why is homosexuality a sin, or have you ever wondered why is homosexuality not love? Well this blog here is to help answer those questions that you are looking for, and to answer these questions we have to touch on the subject of what is love when it comes to a relationship. What was the design and purpose for sex, and Why did God tell us to be fruitful and multiply. And with that being said, let's talk about it.

If there is one question mankind has always asked throughout the generations it has been the question of “What is Love” there have been quotes about love from historic people like this one from Socrates, a Greek philosopher “One word frees us of all the weight and pain in life. That word is Love.” But the bible addresses what love is and what love isn't, it also talks about heterosexuality, and it also addresses homosexuality and more importantly is the bible is going to address the differences between what is right and what is wrong.

I'm sure a lot of people are aware of the famous scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 that talks about what love is and what love isn't but the love we are here to discuss is to question the love between 2 people whether it's same sex or different sex to see which one is right and which one is wrong.

To see which one is right and which one is wrong, we have to compare the two and see what the bible talks about when it comes to heterosexuality and homosexuality. The first book we want to put in this discussion is the Book of Genesis, A book that gives an account of creation. The bible says that God created mankind on the sixth day and made them to be like him (image, likeness) and as we know the first man and the first woman that were created were named Adam and Eve, Adam and eve were made from the dust from the ground and were both given flesh, Eve was made when God put Adam to sleep and removed his rib to give him a helper.

Then next the bible talks about is pro creation which is addressed in Genesis 1:28 which says: Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” As you can see here, God is telling Adam and eve to "fill the earth" and “be fruitful and multiply”. So the question here is that of “what does it mean to fill the earth and be fruitful and multiply. The answer is within the question. It means to multiply, expand, or grow, to increase in number. So that means God is giving Adam and Eve a direct command to increase the population, to add the number of people, go and give yourself an offspring. And as we know, the only way we can be fruitful and multiply is to have sex. 

As you can see here, not only does God give the order to be fruitful and multiply, but he also tells us the true purpose of sex and what it was intended for. We also want to acknowledge that when God spoke these things he was addressing the man (Adam) and the woman (Eve) not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. Which that being said, that is a victory for heterosexuality and a defeat for homosexuality.

The problem with homosexual relationship and sex

Next I want to address what the Bible says concerning homosexuality and no I'm not going to address the book of Leviticus right not, and instead I'm going to talk about the Book of Romans 1 specifically Romans 1:26-27 which says That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. 

The words I want to focus on here are the words shameful, natural, and normal. One of the arguments that the LGBTQIA2S+ has is that they believe Homosexuality is normal or natural and that it's love, just like when a man and a woman does it. But here is the problem with that belief, if it's normal or natural as this community say's it is, then why isn't everybody practicing it, why are there people that become offended when seeing 2 of the same sex genders flirt with each other. And why do some people become violent or feel disrespected when asked to participate in homosexual stuff, why do they feel disrespected if they are called fag, gay, or dyke when they are not.

 The definition for normal according to Merriam-Webster is a conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern : characterized by that which is considered usual, typical, or routine. And then Dictionary.com defines it as conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural. You see how dictionary.com's definition and Merriam-Webster definition of normal also brings up the word natural. Both of these words compliment one another because they are one and the same. To be natural, it has to be common, and anything that isn't common or natural is unnatural or uncommon. Now let's go back to the bible and look at the scripture again, in verse 26 it says Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. Continuing on, it says And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other.

So you see the Bible is hinting that it is irregular, uncommon, or unnatural for a man to be into a man and a woman to be into a woman. Then the bible also hints that it's natural for a man to be into a woman, and it's normal for a woman to be into a man. So if a man being into a man and a woman being into a woman isn't natural, then how can we call homosexuality love if it's not normal. Just because you see two of the same genders doing the same things two opposite genders are doing, like kissing and having sex, doesn't mean the two same genders qualify to do it also. Because God intended sex and kissing on the lips to be specifically for 1 male and 1 female and to be more specific when it comes to sex, it is only meant for husband and wife.

 

This would also apply to marriage as God already gave the qualification of who can and who cannot be married, as God intended marriage to be between a man and a woman with the purpose of becoming one as the scriptures says, 

At last!” the man exclaimed.

“This one is bone from my bone,

and flesh from my flesh!

She will be called ‘woman,’

because she was taken from ‘man.’”

This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. With that being said, that is another victory for heterosexuality and a defeat for homosexuality.

In Conclusion, the subject of Love is love is pointed towards the traditional way of marriage and sex which is between a man (husband) and woman (wife) not towards same-sex partners. Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you can give me a comment and tell me what you think.
